4 MW ab 9 R N THE CA CALICO LICO CLUB the calico club under the leadership 0 ot f mrs gregg and mrs claypool met fiz as mrs greggs home on wednesday joiy bwy although we had not said much bout about a our meetings and the progress we have made we have not been idle we wa are over the half way mark on our or health charts which means we have kept them over seven weeks most of the girls have completed their first patch and many have made more we have aisi nearly completed our first hot dish holders ers and florence martin has made three sho she is getting to be quite an expert at it W we e have also made the three bastan basting g at stitches itches and the plain hern hemming mIng stitches the sewing machines arrived at mrs breggs and at this meeting we practiced stitching on paper many ot of us ua found that we needed to stitch on paper so that we could learn leam to stitch straight during our business meeting we decided on a trip to the hot pots to be made next wednesday MARJORIE MOORE reporter THE WORK WELL CLUB the work well club met again last wednesday at mrs Wort leys home the meeting was opened by president kathryn dark clark and the minutes ot of the former meeting were read and accepted by secretary juanita chapman mrs wortley and mrs savage showed the members how to operate and use the sewing machines after which some of the members started on their hot pan holders while others made more dams clarris and patches refreshments were served and the meeting was adjourned the next meeting will be held wednesday july ELEANOR HEITZMAN reporter HEALTHY HANDY HOME HELPERS the meeting of 0 the tha healthy handy home helpers was held at the home of the leader mrs A J gibbons at 10 the meeting was called to arder by president margaret carter the meeting was turned over to the copying of the tried recipes A picnic breakfast was planned for monday july alth but because of thi jhc bad weather it was postponed to tha coming monday july the next meeting will be held at th home of the leader mrs C P henson hensen saturday july at 10 MARGARET GASPARAC reporter |
