Show impressive funeral services held funeral 1 services tor for the late mrs john Dirk beek were held in fix the community church last sunday afternoon rev nev J L mayes hayes of st Lukes church officiating pr prayer a yer was offered by rev bev of th the e community church the tha church was waa crowded to capacity with friends and acquaintances ol of tho the devoted wile wife and mother with many gathered on the outside the simple service befitting the beloved woman whose life 1110 was filled ailed with good deeds done un ostensibly without ever a thought to reap praise or emolument from those on whom kindnesses were bestowed were beautiful as was the lavish display of floral remembrances additional tokens of affection from those who loved her most tho the funeral cortege consisting of forty tour four motor vehicles carried a great number of friends to the mausoleum in salt lake city where the remains were laid to rest in a crypt there to be sealed and preserved for all time A brief service was held in this unfinished building after which mourners and friends quietly departed from the last resting place with saddened hearts at the loss of one so rich in true womanly qualities a queen in her home and whose gentle influence of love and goodness reached the threshold of many homes beyond the family circle what a splendid heritage Is left the bereaved family the reflection of a pure soul has been endowed to them god grant that the fruition of such a treasured life will continue to be felt t throughout the allotted span of their lives two solos feeling rendered by miss jennette urle urie accompanied by mrs dan dam brady added to the solemnity of the church service the tha pallbearers pall bearers were fraser buck W S mcfarlane W P J A tallon homer vincent and percy williams the dead are like the stars by day withdrawn from mortal eye but not extinct they hold their way in glory through the sky |
