this week this program m was a novel one which was greatly enjoyed by I 1 the h a atu btu students dents and teachers the story that of the opera the bohemian girl was strikingly told by betty sheen three songs from the opera were ere a sung ng at intervals during the story by the senior girls accompanied dy by mrs smith karl theuil the president of 0 the class presided at the assembly the program was in the nature ot of a musical appreciation class the th audience was asked to notice the theme tone in the songs in addition to the music a very interesting story we was S heard beard tuesday was considered very educational and entertaining 1 by all who were present the i seniors lound found that they have more talent than they expected in the art of rendering opera songs I 1 ir from the talks and the hoarse voices hearod heard in the halls the majority of the seniors must have journeyed to morgan last friday to see the football game although all the seniors who went almost succeeded in losing their voices through yelling they are now normal and in nearly as good condition as formerly the seniors were agreeably surprised last week to learn leam they had to write a school song they were kept very busy looking in the dictionary for or words and in song books tor for appropriate tunes however the songs must not have been prize winners because the teachers teacher informed them that they would have to make another one in order to compete tor for the pr prize aze that Is being given the phrase what rhymes with school pep i etc was a common one heard in the
