Show DAMAGE SUIT FILED FRED WALCOTT WANTS FROM THE OREGON SHORT LINE A complaint was filed in the clerks office today in the case of fred walcott vs ithe oregon short line railway company in which the plaintiff aska that he have judgment for the pum ot for personal injuries sustained by reason ot the acts of the defendant company the allegations of the complaint state that on november 1900 the plaintiff was in the employ of the defendant as brakeman at pocatello idaho and on that date and while so employed he was required by the defendants to and did go between the cars in a train of defendants there standing for the purpose of coupling up the air hose and while so engaged the defendant negligently and carelessly and without giving any signal or warning caused cars to be run and kicked with great force and violence against the train and cars where plaintiff was required to be thereby knocking him down and causing the wheels of one of the cars to run over the plaintiffs right leg and otherwise badly wounding and injuring him in consequence of which it became necessary to amputate the right leg above the knee and plaintiff has been perma bently crippled and injured and has and will continue to suffer great bodily and mental irain and has been and will be prevented from attending to any business and earning a livelihood to his damage in the sum mentioned above L R rogers and D W standard are the attorneys for the plaintiff |
