council met last night in gillar session with all members present the matters which were imort fully discussed were tho question of letting the contract for the lighting or the city and the passage of the railroad ordinance the light contract was finally adopted as recommended by the committee on lighting for two years and upon practically the same items as the present contract the raff road provides to a fine i tor trespassing tres passing upon the companies tracks etc and members of the council were afraid that it would not be satisfactory and that it would place the city in a position where it would be liable in case of an accident in violation of the provisions of the ordinance the railroad ordinance was re committed to the committee on laws the council has also taken up the matter of the collection of the license due from the telephone company and the attorney is instructed ato look into the matter and see that the license is paid the city council met at with all present
