R. Zwickey died at his home in Salt Lake City on Monday. The funeral services were held on Thursday with Bishop D. R. Lyon in charge. Interment was made in the City Cemetery at Salt Lake. ) News has been received in the camp that Joe Gavez who sold his soft drink parlor here in Nov ember and returned to his native land, Italy, died at the home of his parents on December 21st. He was a victim of the dreaded min-ers' consumption and had resid-ed in Bingham for a number of years. C. A. Bailey is organizing a new eight piece orchestra. Mr. Bailey has lead orchestra for the past 15 years and contends that Bingham music can be just as good as any Salt Lake and in-vites the dance promoters of the camp to give his orchestra a real trial. The following instruments will be in operation. Violin, sax-aphon- e, banjo, trombone, clari-net, piano, trumpet and drums. Keith Moss, the little sixteen day old son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Grant died at the family home at Copperfield on Tuesday. He is ' survived by his parents, . two, brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at South Boun tif ul ward chapel. Former Assistant County At- - visiting old time acquaintances on Wednesday. Henry Chabez, Tony Sena and A. G. Garduno of the Highland Boy were sentenced by Judge E. E. Dudley on Wednesday to pay a fine of $50.00 or to serve fifty days in the county jail, for dis-turbing the peace. On account of the snowy weather they de-cided to remain the guests of County Sheriff Ben Harries for the next fifty days. Si Jones, for many years prom inent as a Peace Officer in Bing-ham was appointed on Wednes-day night by the Town Board of Bingham to succeed Tom Mayne as night patrolman. "Si" as he is familiarly known is one of the most capable men in Bingham to fill the position and the Town Board are to be congratulaed on their choice. John Steele, superintendent of explosives of the Utah Copper Company is confined to his home suffering from a broken foot. Mi Steele was accidentally struck by a falling rock. John Bilbao, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. John' Bilbao died at the family home at the Highland Boy, on Friday last of bronchial pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the O'Donnell funeral chapel at Salt Lake City with Father Shean of Salt Lake officiating. Interment was made in the city cemetery at Salt Lake under the direction of Howard Lee, of the local undertaking par lors. x I Bingham ! Society tained at dinner Sunday. Mrs. Rose Gust has moved to Salt Lake City to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Lohr. Mrs. Gust had charge of the cook ing in the Bingham Hospital and the patients thre regret her de-parture. Mr. and Mrs. R. T. D'ahlquist and Mr. and Mrs. Tietjen were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lee Tuesday evening. Mrs. J. B. Myers was hostess to the G. G. G. G. The many friends of Mr. Barnard not only ' in Bingham but throughout the state will be pleased to learn of his success. Death and Funeral of Mrs. Papidakis Mrs. Athena Papidakis, 29 years of age, a resident of Bing-ham for. the past year, died at the Holy Cross Hospital on Sat-urday. Mrs Papidakis was a na-tive of Greece and was bom on the island of Creete. She is survived by her husband Mike Papidakis, proprietor of' the Venice pool hail &t Copperfield, one son, James, and a daughter, Catherine and twin babies about two weeks old. Funeral servic-es were held from . the Greek Orthodox Church at Salt Lake on Wednesday with a number of friends from Bingham attend ing. Interment was made in Mt. Basketball was the topic .'in camp on Friday last when the Bingham High School battled on the floor of the High School gym for honors in their first game of the season. The house was packed and the boys were well sustained by the fans. Sid-owa- y, Bingham's center ably demonstrated to the Jordanites they had a real hard nut to con-tend with. Firemen's Dance a Big Success The Bingham Volunteer Fire Departments Masquerade Ball given in the Canyon Hall on last Tuesday evening was a decided success, in spite of a heavy snow storm a large number attended. Ladies best sustained char-acter Miss Margaret Anderson this prize was also the gift of the Bingham Mercantile Co. The prize for the gents best sustained character was won by A. P. Bobbins and was donated by A. Tremelling. For the ladies best comic character the prize was somewhat divided it repre-senting a nigger lady and picca-nin- y (16 months old) this prize was awarded to the little daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles llart- - man.
