Show During tho past year there havt been, in round numbers, 33,000 people wounded and 4, 000 killed by the railroads rail-roads in the United States. The railroad rail-road managers say that, compared with the number of people transported, it is a very small percentage. True, but there have been as many killed and wounded as would have resulted from a summer campaign with an army of 10,000 on one side, iu which as many as ten pitched battles have been fought. That would he very considerable consid-erable of a sensation from a newsman's standpoint. |
