Show rAGE FOUR ? i THE BINGHAM PRESS BULLETIN ' .3 was' a powerful hit to the corner in center field, far over Henderson's head. Buckle tried to score on Baty's fly to Griffith, but was nipped at. the plate. Grant went in in the seventh, and was as wild as a March hare. 0 ... ( Griffith made a swell catch of ,Jf Dunn's fly back of second base in J the seventh. i Whiteley made a nice catch of Read's fly in the eighth. Taylor's stop of McKendrick's roll-er in the ninth was a dandy. second, when Taylor stole third, and was thrown out, Hunsaker to Ewing. The Bingham contingent contended Hunsaker made a balk, while the of-ficials couldn't see it that way. As a matter of fact, it WAS a balk, and one of the worst kind, but the Garfield twirler was allowed to use the same delivery until knocked out of the box. Baty made a neat play in the third when he stopped Staples hard hit, touched first and then threw to ond to get Ewing at the Keystone sack. Taylor's two base hit in the third was a pop up behind second base that no one on the Garfield team seemed to want. With two men out in the third, Buckle, who was on first, made the rest of the circuit when Roach missed Baty's fly to right field. McKee and Baty essayed a fast double play in the fourth inning. The fourth inning showed the two teams in another wrangling match, taking up another half hour, Whiteley's fourth hit of the game in the fourth was a hot shot at Grif-fith, too snappy to handle. McKendrick hit the top of the fence in the fifth, and he reached third. Buckle made two nice catches in the fifth inning. Muir'i homer in the third inning WHAT WE SAW Another one of those three hour affairs. The fans don't like to sit in the sun for three hours to see a nine in-ning game. Umpires should be vested with the power to bench any and all players who persist in wrangling. Smith robbed Buckle of a hit in the first inning with a neat catch. The locals fell on Hunsaker in the initial frame for three markers. Dowdell made a swell stop in the second inning of Roach's hard hit ball. Dowdell's two base hit in the sec-ond hit the top of the left field fence.
