The scholarships to the University ot' Utah weie announced and given to the following students: Nettie Stevens, iioward Cook, Mildred Mil-dred Cortcz, Howard Barker, Henry Myer, Norma Seam, El wood Sti Ingham, Ing-ham, normal; and H. W. Nelson, fourth year arts. The board then adjourned to look ocr ihe architect's plans for tho new school house. The plans were offered In the competition com-petition by two firms, bolh of Ogden. each of whom submitted two sees of pUns. The discussion centered about the location of the lavatories in the buildings, build-ings, and the rxpenser attached to eiich plan. One plan placed these rooms within th main baildiug, but separated by a frobh air room, while ! the. other plan ehowtd an addition at 1 the rear of the main b.illdlng'onthe I g.tund floor lo be ured for this purpose. pur-pose. The boiler room in this set of specifications spec-ifications was ia the half basement, and tho estimated cost of Ihe build ing $28,000, whereas the first plan could be carried out for approximately approximate-ly ? 2 5,000.
