Oldham was arraigned before . .Vjdge Murphy this morning, charged with obtaining money under false pretenses, pre-tenses, the amount being $.r0. County Attorney Jensen was willing to accept u plea from the defendant on tho theory that the amount secured was not sufficient to establish a felony, but the court scarcely saw tbe question ques-tion in that light Tbe plea of guilty which the defendant offered was not accepted by the court and the case was set aside for the time being, the defendant being placed under un-der a bond of 525. The complaint in the case alleges that on June 11, Oldham represented tu tho Utah National bank of this city that he was an agent for tho State Mutual Co-operative Insurance company of Moscok, Idaho, and that bl.i compauy would honor a sight draft on them for $50, as expense money; that on this representation the bank advanced tho money on the i i aft. Tho draft was afterward re-luscd re-luscd payment by tbe Idaho insurance Company, and it was stated that the nan had no relationship with it vhatever.
