Show JUDGE MAGINNIS' DEATH. Judge Maginnis, who died last Wednesday morning, after an illness of many months, was a man who made friends. He had an entire community of well-wishers and his death came as a shock, although he was known to be seriously ill. He was courageous to the last. The day before he died, he attended court in Salt Lake in defense of a client. He must have realized that the end was near, but he possessed a remarkable will power which defied even Death. One of the judges before whom he practiced said that as a lawyer law-yer he was most capable, and his appointment by Grovcr Cleveland, as chief justice of Wyoming, prior to his coming to Ogen, supports that statement. Ogden, and Utah, has lost a citizen of worth, and one little family is deprived of a good husband and father in the death of Judge W. L. Maginnis. |
