Show NEW ROAD OUT OF OGDEN. The Los Angeles Times speaks of the lately connected aqueduct line, from Los Angeles north through Owens Valley, as a connecting link with the roads of Utah which is destined to win its place among the great transcontinental routes. When the entire road is standard gauged, overland trains for Los Angeles will proceed from Ogden west over the Southern Pacific Pa-cific to Hazen and thence south, direct to Southern California, over one of the most scenic and inviting roads in the West. As compared with the .San Pedro, though a little longer, it will be a more desirable desir-able route, especially in summer when the heat on the Clark road in southern Nevada is almost unbearable. |
