There were fewer few-er disasters on the Great Iakes during dur-ing the season just closed than during the season of iy09. Last yenr there were 128 lives lost, a much higher toll than for 1910 The worst disaster of this year was the sinking of car ferry No. IS of the Pere Marquette railroad off Ludington, Mich., with the loss of more than a score of lives.
