Show OPENING OF JAR8IDGE SITE Assistant Foresters Timothy Hoyt and E. L. Wheeler of the land department depart-ment of the forest service, have gone to Jarbrldge, Idaho, where they will le dctalued some lime defining tho boundary lines of the mining camp. The gentlemen started for the camp last week by way of Elko, Nevada, but weie forced tc return on account of heavy snow in the mountains between be-tween Elko and Jarbidge. They returned re-turned to Oeden a couple of days ago and this morning started for the place by way of Twin Falls. Since the rush to the Jarbidge country there has been considerable dispute regarding the lioundaries of the townsite. There have been shooting shoot-ing scrapes, and several disputes ao to the licensing of saloons in the camp. The townsite is embraced in a national na-tional forest reserve and for that reason rea-son the land office department could not furnish title to the town lots. Foresters Hoyt and Wheeler will determine de-termine the exact lmundary lines of the proposed townsite, eliminate it from the forest reserve and report the same to the land office department, after which a survey will be made and the land thrown open to entry In some form.. This, it Is expected, will settle set-tle the perplexing controversy, oo |
