Show DEMOCRATS ARE NOT TO RIDE Chairman W. W. Browning of tho Democratic central committee of Weber county Is conducting a campaign cam-paign that is democratic with a vengeance; ven-geance; it verges close to the "pure democracy," and is perhaps unprecedented unpre-cedented in the histor of politics. Itoth parlies have In tho past used much of a campaign fund for tho election elec-tion of their candidates to office. Mr. Profiling Is the first campaign manager to refuse to hire rigs for the hauling of voters to the registration offices, or to the p'.lls on clcetl.ri clay, lie has gone farther than that by refusing to levy a campaign assessment assess-ment against the candidates on tho Democratic ticket. He leaves it entirely en-tirely with the candidates as to whether they shall spend any mono) in the campaign, and that whatever they conclude to spend shall be accepted accept-ed only as a voluntary contribution. Regarding tho proposition made by Mr. Drowning to Chairman Dye of the Republican central committee, that no rigb be hired to get people to the registration reg-istration offices, or to the noting places, Mr. Dyo says the matter has not yet beeu considered by the Republican Re-publican central committee. He says that, personally, it makes no difference differ-ence to him whether rigs are hired or not, and that Ihe question will bo submitted to the candidates for them to act upon as they see tit. Mr. Dv o says that he believer In the principle of letting tho people find their own way to the registration and polling (daces mut he does nol know whether all the candidates on the Republican ticket see tho mutter In thul way. In fact, Mr. De says he has been advised that some of the candidates desire tint some of tho campaign money, paid by the candidates, shall bo used on legist ration and election days to furnish rigs for the people The letter sent to Chairman Dvo by tho Democratic chalrmau follows: "Hon Samuel De.
