Show . MEDICINES BARRED BY NEW ORDINANCE Salt Lake. Oct 22. Many doubts have been expressed by the druggists t f the city as to the preparations prohibited pro-hibited under the ordinanco parsed by the city council recently placing n ban on the sale of codeine, opium, morphine and heroin except on pre scrlptlon by regularly licensed aud practicing physicians, and the clt health board Friday issued the fol lowing statement, topics of which were sent to all the druggists of the city, outlining the preparations barrel under the new measure: "There being some doubts expressed express-ed by many of the drugVlsts in thi city ns to the preparations which arc ' prohibited under tho new drug ordhi ance, you are hereby notified that I hereafter the sale of the following I preparations l3 prohibited: "Squlbb's mixture. i "Suppositories containing opium I "Sun cholera mixture. "Dover's powders. I "Paregoric, or ariv other official or proprietory remedies that have distinct dis-tinct narcotic properties. "By order of the board of health. "J. G PAUL "Health Commissioner." |
