It was afterwards discovered that the young man had not maliciously passed pass-ed the forged paper and he was re-tased re-tased from Jail upon his father de-I de-I ositiug the amount of Ihe check. According to the police Chrlstensen rccepted the check from a man named Brown, believing the paper to be genuine. gen-uine. ChriBtensen re-endorsed the check and cashed it but when the Salt Lake firm on . whom tbe check was made received the paper they pronounced It a forgery. The name f the llrm was not known to the local police. Chrlstensen came to this city yesterday yes-terday afternoon and upon receiving the instructions from the Salt Lake police he was located on Twentytlfth street and arrested by OrtVer Cromp-tcu. Cromp-tcu. The young man is employed as a clerk. He returned to Salt Lake with his father last night. |
