Show NATIONAL III RICH AS A MINT Shipping Nearly Third of a Million Dollars a Month in Bullion. M. J. Mooney, who resides In Salt Lake, is out from the National Mines company properties, feir which he Is assayer. lie canie out as far as Win neiiiucca with the second consignment of bullion from that property since November 1, valued at JCO.nOO. The first couelgnment was sent out November No-vember 2 and was valued at JSO.Oon. and this rich ore is sent direct to the mint at San Francisco. 1-ast month the National Mines company properties produced ?210.00ii worth of gold ore, and this month the company will Increase Its shipments ship-ments to $:!nii.00i. The last consignment consign-ment of a large amount of bullion wac made by Mr. Moouey, as the company com-pany has arranged for new plans to ship this high-ernde ore. In the fu- ture it will be sent by mall to the mint, llrst being case Into three-pound bars. This is done by special arrange, ment with the government and does away with the expense of guards that are required whenever larger consignments consign-ments are made. The mine Is situated about eighty miles distant from the railroad station at Wlnnemucca. At a depth of C2.1 feet the rich ore has been found. It is a strong and well defined vein .which gives every indication of permanency. The high grade ores show hs much as $150 to tho pound, while the mill pioduct. runs from S.'O to $1,000 to the ton. Tbe general aerage of the mill product pro-duct runs about $"i00 to the ton. The $00,000 worth of bullion just consigned consign-ed to the mint was taken from about 2 too pounds of ore. and the total expense- of tiperations Ir estimated to be 20 per cent of the ore shipped, j With a net profit of SO per cent of i shipments made, tbe compariv is piling pil-ing up a surplus iu the nc8h,orhood of $200.0110 a month, after Its dividend divi-dend requirements of $i0.ii00 a month ore made.
