Show WHEN HUDSON ' r AVENUE OPENS New Buildings Which Are to be Erected on the.lfew Thoroughfare and Old Buildings Which Are to be Remodeled and Made Most Attractive for Business. Carl Sorenson has already planned an improvement on ' Hudson avenue and Twenty-fifth street. He owns the building occupied i by Munsey ihe cigar dealer and he proposes to transform the building so that on Hudson avenue there will be a glass frontage of about 100 feet. Double door entrances will.be made from the avenue to tho building. It Is contemplated that, in addition to the lines of business already In the building, there will be placed there a modern barber shop, and the Mayflower May-flower lunch counter will be turned into an up-to-date cafe. The improvement will be begun as soon as the avenue is opened and the I paving is done. The east line of the I avenue will cut into the present I building tbout three feet, j Horace Peery of the Peery Brothers l company states that the American j Tea store building, which is on the j lines of the corner of Hudson avenue i and Twenty-fifth street, and which I will be cut In two by the now avenue, will be transformed into a glass front corner and made into a modern business busi-ness house. This, with many other Improvements Improve-ments for Hudson avenue, promises to make the avenue a desirable business busi-ness thoroughfare in the heart of the , business part of the city. |
