Show UTAH METHODIST MISSIONTO MEET The L'tah Methodist Episcopal mission mis-sion will hold its anuual conference In Provo, beginning next Thursday morning. The sessions will be presided pre-sided over by Bishop William A. A. Quayle, D. D., L. L. D., who was elected bishop at the last session of the general conference, which was held in Baltimore two years ago. The first work of the conference will be the election of a secretary, who will, in all probability, bo the Rev. Samuel Allison, he having held this position In the last conference. Dr. H. J. Talbott will read his report as superintendent of the mission and district superintendent of the Salt Lake district. ' This report will be. encouraging. Rnmors Indicate that there will be several changes In the personnel of the ministers of tho mission next year. The Rev. Mr. Clark will leave Beaver; Rev. David Crane has already al-ready gone from the I jiff church; Rev. Guy W. McCreery Is said to have notified no-tified the Ogden church of his e-slro e-slro for a change; Rev. Carl I An-deacon An-deacon left Lagoon sometime ago for Nebraska and the Rev. H. I. Hansen of this city is seeking a change. It is understood that Dr. Talbott has new men provided for all these places Bishop Quayle's sojourn In these parts will bo rather strenuous. He will not only preside at tho conference, confer-ence, sessions but will also lecture every night. Thursday and Friday nt the Methodist Episcopal church, Sal I.ake. he will deliver his "Shy-lurk "Shy-lurk and David" and "Jean Valjean." On Saturday night he lectures In Provo, giving his thrilling lecture, "The Tragedies of Shakespeare," and also will preach twice on Sunday. |
