Show CANADA HOLDING BACK THE FOREIGN STREAM Washington June 14 Canadian authorities au-thorities on the northwestern boundary boun-dary are rigidly enforcing a regulation requiring alien laborers, with the exception ex-ception of Americans, applying for admission to that country, to have $200 cash. The result has been, as fhown by reports received here, that the great majority of the railroad laborers la-borers and those needed on other large contract work, who heretofore have flocked from Seattle, practically have been shut out. Some of the American railroad builders In Alaska have been enforcing enforc-ing a rule which alt nationalities being be-ing excluded except lalforers '-om northern Europe, America, Australia and Now Zealand. |
