Show PLATT DENIES THE CGURT CHARGES Acting for hU associated in the defunct de-funct J. C. Piatt Saddlery company, Joseph C. Piatt aud his wife. Joan Piatt, yesterday filed a demurrer against tho charges made by the Krelg Tanulng company, to the effect that flat t sold out to the corporation at a fictitious alue, and that the real value of the concern when Piatt assisted as-sisted in starting It as a corporation was only about $750. . In effect, and short of legal verbiage, verb-iage, the two Platls claim that no sufficient evidence for an action id shown in the complaint, and that it Is amblguoua throughout. It Is also c'almed bv Piatt that the figures in the complaint are vague and unqualified. |
