Accordingly, the game was Ktarted. and about the time the Salt Iake person had corralled $lfrt In hard cash belonging to Burnett and Ogle-burg, Ogle-burg, tho two became suspicious and started an argument. During the course of the heated discussion that followed the Salt Lake man managed to slip away into the railroad yards and after several minutes of wrangling wrang-ling as to the best method to pursue the two travellers and the "farmer" decided to look up an officer and plice the mailer In his hands. As the travelers trav-elers were still strange to the city, the "farmer" agreed to pilot them to the most likely place- to find a policeman police-man With trusting hearts and empty pockotbooks the two followed his lead, first to the Ogden river and not finding a policeman quartered In this vicinity, bark again fo Twenty-seventh street and Wall avenue. In the darkness at this point, while tho two unfortunates were straining their eyes to discover a "cop" the "farmer" men-a;d men-a;d to lose himself, and after several more minutes of wasted effort In vain-ly vain-ly trying to find him the two betook thomselves to the police station. While a fairly good description was furnished of the stranger from Salt Lake and the "farmer person," the police say that it would fit 90 ut of 100 men and have little hopes of capturing cap-turing the thieves, who are believed to have been working together.
