Show NOTICE OF ELECTION Whereas, by an act of the Legislature of the State of Utah, approved March 11, 1909, provision was made for the holding hold-ing of an v lection throughout the State, on the Tuesday following the first Monday In June, 1909, to determine deter-mine the question of whether or not a one mill tax shall be levied upon all taxable property within this State, said one mill to be a rate in excess of the rate of taxation otherwise fixed fix-ed or limited for all other purposes, said levy to continue during a period of fifteen successive years, and tho purpose thereof to be to raise funds with which to construct and furnish a State Capitol for the State of Utah, to be located on the Capitol Grounds. Salt Lake City, and, Whereas, the said Act provides that notice of tho election elec-tion therein provided for shall bo given at least twenty days prior to the date of election, by publishing a notice signed by the Governor and Secretary of State, Now Therefore,- In accordance with the provisions of the Act above referred to, notice is hereby here-by given that an election will be held throughout tho State on Tuesday, Juno 8l h, A. D,. 1909, at which election there shall bo submitted to such qualified qual-ified voters of tho State as. In the year next preceding such election, shall have paid a property tax assess- ed to them within the State, the j question: "Shall the tax rate In the State of Utah be Increased one mill on each dollar of valuation on all taxable tax-able property within the State, over and above the rate fixed or limited for all other purposes, for a period of fifteen fif-teen years from and including the year 1909. the said one mill on each dollar being for the purpose of constructing con-structing and furnishing a State Capitol?" Capi-tol?" In Testimony Whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed the Great Seal of the State of Utah. Done at Salt Lake City, this sixth day of Mav. A. D 1909.
