Show CLOSING UP OF FOUL PLACES STATE PURE FOOD INSPECTOR CAUSES SOME EXCITEMENT. Serve. Notice Business Houses Must Be Made Sanitary or Cease to Do Business. Wllllard Hansen, state food and dairy commissioner, accompanied by J. S. Carver, inspected restaurants, bakeries, ba-keries, confectionery 6lores and butcher shops this morning and in four places served notice that if the places of business are not made sanitary san-itary within fifteen dajs, the door will be closed. At one place it was discovered that a case of smallpox had existed. The floor was filthy and underneath was a cesspool of malodorous power. This place may be closed until tho changes can be made. A confectionery store was ordered to clean up aud connect with tho sewer or cease to do business. Outhouses near the back door of tho kitchen of a restaurant were ordered removed. When Mr. Hanson returns next week he will give particular attention to the slaughter houses aud butcher shops of Ogden. |
