Show ENGINEER COATS IS HELD RESPONSIBLE Following Is the report made by the board of Inquiry after Investigating Investigat-ing the cause of an accident In the Ogden yards on the morning of April 20th: Southern Pacific Company. Ogden Union Railway & Depot Co. Office of Superintendent. The undersigned board, convened for the purpose of Investigating accident acci-dent in Ogden yard. 4:35 a. m., April 20ih, extra west. Union Pacific engine en-gine 252, Engineer J. J. Coats, Conductor Con-ductor C. L. Conger, find, while making mak-ing hard stop in Ogden yard, slack was bunched In train, Injuring stock man F. H. Nell, who was In caboose and In charge of two carloads of stock in this particular train. After going over all the evidence and over the ground where accident accurred, wo find Engineer J. J- Coats entirely responsible re-sponsible for accident, account excessive exces-sive use of air in making the stop, which caused personal Injury to Mr. Nell and considerable damage to stoclC E. M.
