Show CHILDREN IN SERIOUS STRAITS HEAD OF THE FAMILY, A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL, TAKEN SICK. I Brought to the Ogden General Hospital By Train, While Neighbors Care For Smaller Children. Miss Gabitas. the 15-ycar-old daughter daugh-ter of Bob Gabitas, section foreman at Newfoundland, 70 miles west of Ogden, Og-den, was brought In on a Southern Pacific train this morning and sent to the General hospital for treatment. Since the death of her mother two years ago, the young girl has been the bead of the family and has taken care of a large family of brothers and sisters Her father is absent in the east at present, and the little matron mat-ron was found yesterday in a serious condition by a Southern Uaciflc signal sig-nal maintalner who was passing the section house. He notified the railroad officers of the little girl's condition and instructions were sent to place the child on the first train and send her to Og.len. During her absence the family will be cared for by kindly-disposed neighbors neigh-bors until the father is notified and I returns home.
