Show DREDGING IN IDAHO. George H. Jennings, field manager of the Jennings Dredging company, operating in the Elk City district in northern Idaho, announces that a dredge of 3,000 cubic yards capacity , will bo installed on tho placer ground, where C. J. Jennings, president presi-dent of the company, has expended $10,000 iu prospecting the properly. The new machine will cut 52 feet under un-der water, thus having 40 per cent greater working strength than under "ordinary circumstances. The dredge will be 100 feet in length. 30 feet wide and six feet deep. The line will consist of 54 four foot manganese steel tip buckets, which will give a. nominal digging capacity of from 150 to 180 cubic yards an hour. The dredge will be operated and lighted by electric power. The approximate weight of all machinery is estimated at 202,000 pounds. Between 90 and 100 days will be required to have the dredge in operation after the timbers tim-bers for tho hull are sawed. President Presi-dent Jennings will visit Elk City early in May.
