Show TABLET IN MEMORY OF GEN. .PALMER . Colorado" Springs, Colo., May 18. Tho survivors of the famous "fighting "fight-ing fifteenth" Pennsylania cavalry, which served with distinction throughout, the. civil wan will erect a tablet in memory' of General William J. .Palmer, of .Colorado Springs, in a prominent place in Palmer Hall. Colorado Colo-rado College. Every survivor of tho regiment has been asked to contribute to the memorial and the permission of the college authorities has heen secured. - The tablet will be surmounted by ! the coat of arms of the regiment, a saddle, surmounted by the crossed ' Babres. and will bear the following in-; Bcrlptlon: I "In loving remembrance of Gen- e'ral William J. Palmer, of the Fifteenth Fif-teenth Pennsylvania Volunteer cav- airy, by the survivors of the regiment, j 1909." . 1 |
