Hendricks of Richmond has been filed in the district court. Mr. Hendricks left an estate valued at abou 530,000. and he disposed of it by will. After making provision for the proper caro of his five wives, he orders the balance bal-ance of the property divided among about sixty heirs. J. W., B. A. and Milo A. Hendricks, three of his sons, are named as executors of the will. Quo warranto proceedings have been instituted against J. A. Hen-dilckson Hen-dilckson by Moses Thatcher, Jr., the latter asking that Hendrickson be ousted from the office of president of the Logan Amusement company, which owns and operates the two big i dance halls of this city. Hendrickson was president of the company last year, but at the annual election ho was defeated for re-election to the directorate by interests which were opposed to him, and as he felt the tllght thus put upon him he set about besting his enemies. Finally he succeeded suc-ceeded in purchasing the stock of a director opposed to him and in that way got enough to control the company com-pany with the help of his friends. He assumed that having bought the stock of a director that it made him a director di-rector and at once held another meeting, meet-ing, at w hich he was elected president once more. Thatcher objects to this usurpation of authority and hence has brought the quo warranto suit. |
