Show Manager W. H. Webber, who camo in from that camp today. Ho declares that experiments are to be made shortly short-ly to decide upon tho beat method of treatment for the ore, and that this summer may see a new mill on the property. - "At the town of Falrvlew things are quiet at present," said Mr. Webber this morning. "About the only mines that are doing any mork that acounts to much are the Nevada Hills, and the Eagle mine, which is owned by Nixon & Wlngfield. At the latter property work Is 'being pushed with considerable consider-able success. "Mining In Nevada has been dull for some time, but I can see some revival of the old spirit of late. At Falrvlew the Nevada Hills property looks better bet-ter than it ever has before and development de-velopment work is striking something new all the time. It will not be long before there will be a revival of things at Falrvlew that will set the mining Industry there moving along In good shape." The sinking of the shaft on the Nevada Ne-vada Hills property has been discon-I discon-I tinned for the present and will not go , I ahead again until the drift on the 400-foot 400-foot level has -advanced further from the shaft. The drift on this level shows that the ore Is again coming back into the shaft after dipping out between the 330 and 400 levels. It now appears that the ore in making shot out from the main fissure and i made the rich outcropping on the sur-1 sur-1 face instead of continuing on a line, i This makes an angle and brings the dip of the vein back through the shaft The fissure enconutered in the shaft is found to be an off-shoot of a better body of ore which has been encountered encoun-tered on the 400-foot level. At the mine now the levels are being be-ing extended for the purpose of Working Work-ing out the ore and ascertaining definitely defi-nitely what is ahead of the company. The drifts one the 200. 300, 350 and 400 levels are being sent out, and all the work is being devoted to exploiting exploit-ing these. Although only development work has been done on the property so far, the company has been shipping considerable consider-able ore that averages $125 a ton In gold and silved. At present the quantity quan-tity of metal is about equal. As soon a3 the ore bodies are explored ex-plored to some extent, a scries of experiments ex-periments will commence to decide on the treatment of the ore by a mill. This will probably take some time, but It Is confidently expected that the experiment ex-periment will work out successfully. WILL BUILD MILL AT NEVADA HILLS Experiments to Be Made With Fair-view Fair-view Ores for Building a Plant. Salt Lake, April 2.
