Show WAS TAKEN VIOLENTLY ILL OF PTOMAINE POISONING - Clifford Potter, proprietor of the Potter Cale, was taken violently 111 yesterday forenoon at 11:30 ovcjock of ptomaine poisoning, and for a number of hours his life was despaired of. Doctors McCarty. Joyce, Rich aifd Osgood Os-good were called to attend the sick man, and they worked strenuously during the major portion of the afternoon after-noon to save bis life. Drastic measures were resorted to and last evening the physlcjans considered con-sidered Mr. Potter out of danger, but still a very sick man.' Just what caused the poisoning could pot be definitely defi-nitely stated Inasmuch as Mr. Potter had not eaten anything out of the ordinary menu for his breakfast. At the hour above stated Mr. Potter was taken violently 111 and within a very short time was taken .with convulsions and excessive cramplngg in the stomach. stom-ach. At one time the doctors feared that they could not save his life, but by perseverance and the application of the remedies for such cases succeeded suc-ceeded in restoring him to a condition beyond the danger point. . |
