She disappeared the night following her arrival, after telling the clerk of the apartment house that she was going go-ing for a stroll on the beach. Mrs. Hurd formerly lived in Avon, Colo. There were not many complaints com-plaints from taxpayers, although there has been an increased valuation of ten per cent placed on all property.
