Show ENTERTAIN AN AUTO PARTY PROMINENT AUTOISTS OF TOWN ARE THE HOSTS. Ladies of Second Ward Relief Society Enjoy a Delightful Drive to Hot Springs. One of the plcasantest auto parties ever given in this city was enjoyed by the ladies of the Second ward yesterday yes-terday afternoon. The opportunity to show their appreciation of the ladies was cheerfully accepted by Mayor Brewer, Hon. William Glasmann. Jolin M., M. S. and T. S Browning, Harold and Harmon Peery, Will Howell, Denny Den-ny Smyth, Charles and Will Wright, Joseph and Albert Scowcroft and Miss Dorothy Blgclow. Shortly alter 2 o'clock the procession, proces-sion, headed by the mayor, left tho meeting house for tho Hot Springs. Many regrets were expressed that the kodak artist was not present at the springs when Matt Browning arrived ar-rived in his splendid machine. He expected to bo the first to arrive and was dumbfounded to see Denny Smyth, Will Wright and Will Howell How-ell quietly awaiting his arrival, and his faco seemed to say that he firmly believes that they drove at least twenty twen-ty miles an hour. Miss Dorothy Blgclow's arrival was one of the features of the trip, and some one said lier own parents would not have recognized her. The homo run was made In moderate mod-erate time and on arriving in the city the members of tho party were the guests of Albert Scowcroft at a special spe-cial performance at ihe Globe theater, where an excellent program was much enjoyed, The autos were then kept busy taking tak-ing the party to Job pingree's residence resi-dence on Twenty-eighth street, whero dainty refreshments were sered and a program of song and instrumental music was listened to and much appreciated ap-preciated by those present. The ladies feel greatly Indebted to all who took part in making the trip so pleasant. They had one of the best times of their lives. President C. F. Middleton and Bishop McQuarrle accompanied the party. |
