Show II FOREST MEN I TO ASSEMBLE TJ. S. Forester Calls Meeting Meet-ing to Be Held at Cooley, Ariz. District Forester R. H. Rutledge of district four of the foreat service, C. B. Morse, abstain district forester of the department of management, accompanied ac-companied by S II. Stoddard, supervisor super-visor of the Targhee, notional forest with headquarters at St. Anthony, Idaho, will leave Ogden on October 13 for Cooley, Ariz, to attend the conference con-ference called at that place by United States Forester W. B. GrecUy. Problems Prob-lems in forest management relative to 4" the timber on the forests are to be discussed. r The conference will be io session foi a period of about 10 days and will he attended by a district forester, one assistant district forester, one supervisor super-visor and either a logging engineer or a lumberman f the forest service from thoso districts that employ such. District Forester Putlodge and the party from district four will go by the way of the Kalbab national forest for-est where problems In roadways will !e looked into during th- trip and also the question a.s to what the future plans are In connection with the eradication erad-ication of the bark beetle that Is in-testing in-testing trees In tho Kaibab national forest. The Grand canyon of the Colorado will be crossed at a point near the Knibab national forest and the party will go to Cooley by way of Holbrook. Ariz., which lies about 100 miles north of Cooley. |
