Show CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT NO. 2 Proposing to Amond Sections 2 and, 3, Article XIII, of the Constitution Constitu-tion of Utah Relating to Property Subject to Taxation and Rates of Tax A reeolntion proposing amendment to Sections 2 and 3, Article 13. of the Constitution of the State of Utah relating re-lating to property subject to taxation and rates of tax. Be it resolved by the Legislature of tho State of Utah, two-thirds of all the members olected to esch hoo6o eoricurrlng therein : Section 1 That it is proposed to amend Sections 2 and 8, of Article 18 of the Constitution of the State of Utah, ao that such sections will read as follows : Sec. 2. To the end that the burden of taxntion may be equitable npon all property, the legislature is empowered to divldo all property including mon- j eys and credits as well aa physical! property, into eiasaes and to deter-1 mine what class or classes of proper-1 ty shall be subject to taxation and j what property, If any. shall not bo subject to taxation. Taxes shall bo uniform upon all property of the same el and shall be levied and collected collect-ed for public purposes only. Taxes may be imposed upon any and all i property, including privileges, fran entaea and licenses to do business In the state, but this shall not be so construed con-strued as to authorise the taxation of the stocks of sny company or corporation corpora-tion when the property of such company com-pany or corporation represented by j each stocks has been taxed.
