Hawkins Saturday Sat-urday night on Washington avenue between be-tween Fourteenth and Fifteenth streets. i Police Chauffeur Hawkins testified this momlng in court lhat he found Frogner driving wifli one headlight burning and without a tail light and that when he drove up alongside of him and halted him to till him Frogner Frog-ner drew a bottle (rom his pocket and smashed it by tossing It on the pavement pave-ment near the gutter. He then got out of the automobile to look at the headlight when Police Chauffeur Hawkins discovered, he testified, tes-tified, that Frogner was intoxicated and took him to Jail Police Chauffeur George Finn testi-fi'-l to practically the same facts. FYogner asked that the case be continued con-tinued until this afternoon to bring witnesses to refute the testimony of tho police. He denied that he was drunk.
