The superintendent of motive power pow-er for the Short Line said today that a total of 271 men out of a normal .force of approximately 1.300 are at work in the shops This Includes the foremen who wore not required to g. out at the time the call wa issued, but whom union officers stated wlli be called out. At noon today Motive Superintendent Superintend-ent A. C. Hinckley roported 271 men had gone to work. The total walking out here last Saturday wua 1.112. Those at work include men remaining on the Job. aomo returned strikers and regular men. No trouble thus far has arisen. |
