Show IDAHO PROJECT TO 3E FINANCED County Commissioners of State Indorse American Falls Undertaking TOCATELLO, Ida, Fh. IS Resolutions Res-olutions were passed nt a meeting held here Thursday night and yesterday yes-terday by county commissioners of the Snake river district, Indorsing the formation of one large district for the purpose of securing water for the great American Falls project with the assessing of each county $1000 for carrying on the development develop-ment work- and carrying the projeet to successful completion. The resolutions reso-lutions also showed the h. nefit which would accrue to the entire Snalc river section. Tho commissioners present were James Penning Of Clark countv. .1 F Wardle of Fremont. W H. Harvey of Bannock county presided at tho meeting and an address of welcome Tor the chamber of commerce was made by J. Rohb Brady In the absence ab-sence of President Jolm A. Carlson. Another talk was mado by Senator I. E. Rockwell of Bellevue. According to Governor Davis and Managing Director Guy Flenner of the Idaho Reclamation association this step practically Insures the putting put-ting over of the Great American Falls project as It permit the firt assessments to be made without such a severe strain on the financial capabilities ca-pabilities of the 30 canal companies involved. It Is anticipated that tho cnml companies will now begin under tho new plan to pay off their assessments at once with tho aid of the entire district of tho Snake river valley In southern Idaho. . oo |
