Sut was filed in the Douglas county district jcourt Friday to have the Pyramid Mutual Accident Insurance company turned over to tho state department of trade and commerce for tho purpose pur-pose nf liquidation State Commissioner of Insurance W B. Young issued a statement in which he said that the company was Impnlrcil to tho extent of $42,868.38 which figure probably would be Increased In-creased to approximately $90,000 when the court order liquidating the company was Issued, because unearned un-earned premiums would automatically automatical-ly become a liability against which the company has maintained a reserve re-serve fund of only 60 per cent. The company was organized in July. 1920, under the name oT the Lion Accident Ac-cident and Casualty company and in January, 1921 took over the buplnc-ss oi the 1 Ion Bonding1 nnd Surety company, com-pany, Thp compnny operated in Nebraska and Missouri and a number of Other states in which a mall order insurance insur-ance business was done. |
