Illlcn. president of the Washington Wash-ington Alumni association. Hllen said he had a telegram from F. W. Allen. chairman of the Yale rowing commit- I teo, stating ln no uncertain manner that no further chance will be given to Washington to bid for tho services Of its former coach. "We do not feel now that in fairness fair-ness to all the matter can bo reopened" tho telegram stated, according to Hllen. Hll-en. , The statement was in response to a request from the Washington Alumni to release Leader from his promise to go to Yale.
