Show SCOUTING SCHOOL . TO OPEN AT A. C. (Special Dispatch. LOGAN. Jan. 1 Hegliining Janu-ary Janu-ary 2 and running until February 4, a special school for scoutmasters will be conducted at th Utah Agricultural college under the direction of Dr. George R. Hill. "This course is designed to give scout leaders the ability to actually teach scouting to boys In such Bj way that troop emhuxiosm will bS maln-talhed maln-talhed and the troop kept going." said Dr. Hill. "Due to the lack of scouting scout-ing material i has been the rule that scout troops do not last longer than one year. Scouting is recognized as i tremendous force in the education Of boys and properly understood is so appealing that It will get any boy's attention and Interest. Twenty m1"-ciallsts, m1"-ciallsts, therefore are putting their time at mastering games, stories, contests, con-tests, nature study, mapping, first aid. public health, life saving, and .swimming. .swim-ming. These experts, who will assist it the college during the period of the tWQ weeks' course, huve Studied the psychology of boy leadership to such an extent that the work will be thoroughly thor-oughly practical tn scoutmen' Free sleeping accommodations will be provided on the college campus. Three meals a day will be served at the college cafeteria at cost. While here the men will be organized into trppps and patrols and Handled lust as scouts arc handled on a camping trip. m ft rt |
