Show DIARY OF TOLSTOI WILL BE PUBLISHED MOSCOW. Feb. 11. Three unpublished unpub-lished works of Count Leo Tolstoi are to be included In the memorial edition edi-tion of his works whli h his daughters daugh-ters are planning to issue. The most important of these is his diary', which will run to eight volume:, vol-ume:, of ,'.yu j. u. - . irh. The diary was begun In I860 and continue, to 1870. without a breik. then abandoned aband-oned until ISND. when the great writer writ-er renewed it and kept It until tv. o days before his death In 1910. The first 2o your period of the diary describes his life as a soldier In the Caucasus, during the siege of I Sebastopol and h)6 marriage The seeond period of the diary' is less per-, per-, sonal arid devoted to questions of re- llglon. philosophy and politics. A second of the unpublished works 1 an unfinished romance railed 'The Story of Peter the Great." and deals with revolutionary plots of that time, The third work Is a OOtnedy in fie acts. "The Nihilist," written in 1860. I poking fun at short-haired women, long-bearded idealists and other Rus- I slan types. It was refused by the Art Theater, of those days, a fact which made the author downhearted.
