This means that the gears cannot be put into neutral with the control lever. And unless' ' this s discovered the driver is likely to have trouble when tho motor is started- Though it appears difficult to set tho gears In neutral while the cover! Is removed, it is a simple matter If1 ono will remember that there are two! sliding gears on the main shaft of th" transmission. One Is for high and Intermediate speeds; the other for, low and reverse. All tho other gears n tiie main and counter shaft are fix. d. To put the gears in neutral, simply moe the two sliding gears to such a position that they are not In' I mesh with nny of tho fixed gears.
