The program, which consisted of songs, readings, recitations, and in-slrumental in-slrumental selections on ihe piano and s i . 1 i?i , with OOCOaiona short talks from different members of thi family, commenced com-menced at 11 a. m. and continued until un-til 6: SO p. m.; Interrupted only by the time en 'cupleil in artaking of a lunch prepared by Mrs. Myron r. 'hild, and Mrs .John Child, of Clinton. Alter which, the congregation reassembled reas-sembled in Ihe meeting house where the program continued as stated above, iiniu 5:30 p. in In the meantime mean-time n collection had been taken up, ito which all contributed freely, for tho purpose r paying for the luncheon and other expense incurred by this meeting. In this manner an adequate amount was collected td meet all obligations, ob-ligations, :md was tendered to Myron B., :md John Child, who had borne the entire expense of the day. Hut thev refused to accept anything for their trouble and expense, and requested re-quested the committee turn the proceeds pro-ceeds of the collection into the family I treasury to l used in the future tem-j i pie work of the family. He jwas also voted an honorary member of Ithe Child family organization, with a standing invitation to attend its reim-, Ions whenever and wherever held. I lilshop Bingham of Rlyerdale was ialso voted the same rights and privileges priv-ileges for courtesies extended at former for-mer meetings of the family in Rlver- dale. When the ceremonies of the da were concluded at 0:30 p m-, the spirit jot hospitality was again manifested by the two families, John and Myron IB. Child, when they invited all pres- jttit to go with th in to iheir respective i homes and hav e dinner w ith them. As no excuses were acceptable, the Invitations Invi-tations were accepted and they found an excellent dinner n waiting them, and whll partaking of It en.lo.ved the sociability of those present. Benjamin Child, second son and ; child of Benjamin and Mary Child Of Boxbur, Mays, was born In Koxbury in 1666. Married March 7. 1683. to '.i.oe Morris, who was born Feb- 17. '1061 She was a daughter of Deacon Edward and Grace Belt Morris. They bad twelve children. THIRD GENER ITION, Bphraim Child, first child of Ben-Jamin Ben-Jamin and Grace Morris Child, burn in Koxbury. Mass., Dec. 18. 1683 Harried, l 7 1 0. Brlscllla Harris, daughter daugh-ter of Daniel Harris, of Brookline. I Mass. He died Nov 22. 1769 She van born June 4. 1CM, and died June 26. 1780. Age 96 years. Thoy had ten children.
