During the war the ! number of students in each class aver-lag'd aver-lag'd 150. mostly women from leisure I classes who desired to offer their service serv-ice to the government. Since 1914 more than 300 women who graduated from the trained attendants at-tendants course of the Ballard school have been in France. The btudonts are taught the practical practi-cal work of nursing in an intensive courde of eleven weeks. The school has a complete hospital equipment wllh artificial and live models for practical and demonstration work. Lectures are given on physiology, anatomy, theory of nursing, ethics of nursing, emergencies, invalid cooking j and bandaging. Tho first course was given in 1S96.
