Show Pres. Wilson Not Suffering From Influenza WASHINGTON. April 5 President Wilson was reported "better" in a message received at the White House today from Rear Admiral Grason. The message, addressed to Secretary Tumulty, Tu-multy, said: "President is better this morning but confined to bed. No cause for worry." Study of his case has caused Rear Admiral Grayson, the president's physician, phy-sician, to reach the conclusion that i the president is not suffering from in- fluenza, but that the severity of the i cold is such that the patient will re-J quire careful watching. wnen me president awoice it was announced that he was better He might sit up later in the day, ll was said, and with Sunday's rest Intervening Interven-ing it was believed to be possible that he might attend Monday's meeting of the council of four. There was no indication whether the president was being consulted again on matters under discussion at the peace conference. It is believed here, however, that Dr. Grayson will insist on the patient being given complete rest for the present nt least. A large number of messages expressing ex-pressing regret at President Wilson's' illness and hope for his speedy rcov-ery rcov-ery have been received bv Secretarv Tumulty. |
