Show Chauffeur in Court; Sentence Suspended Earl G. Donald, chauffeur for B.. .0. Wattls, who wa3 arrested Saturday on a charge of haying violated traffic ordinances by speeding, pleaded not guilty, and then changed his plea to guilty before Judge D. R. Roberts of the city court this morning. Donald, according to the testimony of Officer II. B. 351am, had driven 2S miles an hour between Twenty-fifth and fourth streets on Washington avenue. av-enue. The boy said that there was no speedometer on tho car and that he did not realize that he was exceeding the speed limit. In view of- the fact that It was his first offense,- and that he apparently was not wilfully violating the law, he was released on 5 days suspended sentence. nn . . |
