Show I MUCH INTEREST IN NEW POWER PROJECT POCATELLO, Idaho, Oct. -11 Much Interest was shown by Pocatello )eo-ple )eo-ple interested in reclamation and cheaper electric power yesterday hi a meeting held in Lewiston by the L ulled States board of engineers with those interested In the canalization of the lower Snake river for the purpose of making a deep water Inlet from tidewater tide-water to Lewiston. Those attending the meeting In-eiudcd In-eiudcd General Harry Taylor, Colonel J. C. Sanford, Colonel Charles Keller. Colonel W, B. Laduc, Colonel J C. akes. Major C. S. Kidley and A H Weber. The project which has been officially official-ly surveyed by federal engineers comprises com-prises ten dams along the Snake river between Lewiston and Rlparla Wash , and a series of lot ks which would connect con-nect I-ewiston all the year with the sea At present steamers run from Lewis-ton Lewis-ton to Portland or Astoria onl during high water and by the use Of the C lilo canal and locks.
