Show EVERY FLOWER HAS A STORY ALL ITS OWN 4- 4 THE SNOWDROP The snowdrop, one of the daintiest dainti-est and earliest spring flowers, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary since! it is the emblem of purity and 1 chastity It was said that any one j wearing It would have only lofty and pure thoughts. A more recent su- 1 perstitlon is that should a girl eat ! the tirst snowdrop she finds the sun j and wind will not tan her during that summer. Friendship in adversity, consolation 1 and hope is tho significance of the snowdrop in the language of flowers. TO COMFORT EVE The legend of how the snowdrop I came to earth follows: j When Adam and Eve were driven I from Paradise, Eve, overcome with sorrow and regret, wept bitterly. The Father was touched with pity and I sent an angel to comfort her, While the angel was speaking to Eve, aj snowflako fell upon her hand.
